The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of here the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to help the servicing of all clients and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
